"Неужели нужны для нас, как для некоторых, одобрительные письма к вам или от вас?" (2Кор.3:1)
Что такое одобрительное письмо? Это письмо, в котором написано что-то хорошее о человеке. Например: "Господин Бауман - хороший работник. Он всегда доброжелателен к своим сотрудникам, работает честно, добросовестно выполняет задания к нашему большому удовлетворению". Так писались одобрительные письма. Дети собрались вокруг бабушки у теплой печки. Посмотрите, как внимательно они слушают, что им рассказывает бабушка, а проказница-ворона в это время выдергивает шерсть из веретена. Бабушка рассказывает внукам об их дедушке:
- Ваш дедушка был первым камердинером у одного влиятельного князя. Хотя он не имел большого образования, князь все доверил ему. И знаете, почему он получил такой высокий пост? Дедушка любил Иисуса всем сердцем и с большой радостью служил Ему.
Начал он учеником у купца. В то время один богатый купец искал рассыльного. Пятьдесят мальчиков пришло к нему, большинство из них имели при себе хороший аттестат и лучшие одобрительные письма. Купец очень быстро выбрал одного из них, а остальных отправил.
- Хотел бы я знать, - спросил друг купца, который сидел рядом с ним, - почему ты принял именно этого мальчика, у которого нет ни одного одобрительного письма?
- Ты заблуждаешься, - ответил купец, - у этого мальчика много одобрительных писем. Он вытер обувь у порога, прежде чем вошел в комнату, и аккуратно закрыл дверь, - значит он добросовестный. Он без долгих раздумий уступил стул старому хромому посетителю, что говорит о сердечной доброте и внимательности. Он снял шапку с головы, прежде чем зашел, четко и уверенно ответил на все мои вопросы, - значит он вежливый и сообразительный. Он поднял книгу, которую я специально положил на пол, тогда как другие не обратили внимания на это, хотя спотыкались через нее. Он спокойно ожидал и не тискался вперед. Это все хорошее свидетельство о его порядочности. Еще я обратил внимание, что его костюм хорошо вычищен, руки и лицо опрятны. Хочешь сказать, что все это не одобрительные письма? - спросил купец друга. - Я больше доверяю тому, что замечаю в человеке, когда в течении десяти минут знакомлюсь с ним, чем тому, что написано в сладкозвучных одобрительных письмах!
- Видите, дети, - сказала бабушка, - в дедушке увидели сразу по его благочестивому поведению, что он надежный, опрятный и
старательный человек. Не хотите ли и вы принести много радости Иисусу?
- Да, да, хотим, - закричали дети воодушевленно.
- Позже дедушка стал камердинером у одного известного князя, исполняя службу добросовестно и радостно.
Будем молиться и попросим Господа подарить нам чистое сердце, наполнить его Своей неземной любовью, чтобы мы могли жить благочестивой жизнью.

"Do we really need approving letters to you or from you for some?"
2Cor.3: 1
What is an approving letter? This is a letter that says something good about a person. For example: "Mr. Bauman is a good worker. He is always benevolent to his employees, he works honestly, conscientiously carries out tasks to our great satisfaction." So letters of approval were written. Children gathered around the grandmother at the warm stove. Look how attentively they listen to what their grandmother tells them, and the naughty crow at this time pulls the wool out of the spindle. Grandmother tells grandchildren about their grandfather:
- Your grandfather was the first valet of one influential prince. Although he did not have much education, the prince entrusted everything to him. And you know why he got such a high post? Grandfather loved Jesus with all his heart and served Him with great joy.
He began a student at the merchant. At that time, one rich merchant was looking for a messenger. Fifty boys came to him, most of them carrying a good certificate and the best letters of approval. The merchant very quickly chose one of them, and sent the rest.
“I would like to know,” asked the friend of the merchant who was sitting next to him, “why did you accept this particular boy, who does not have a single approving letter?”
“You are mistaken,” answered the merchant, “this boy has many encouraging letters. He wiped his shoes on the doorstep before entering the room, and gently closed the door, which means he was conscientious. Without much thought, he gave up a chair to the old lame visitor, which speaks of cordial kindness and attentiveness. He took off his hat from his head before entering, answered all my questions clearly and confidently, which means he is polite and quick-witted. He picked up a book that I specifically put on the floor, while others did not pay attention to it, although they stumbled over it. He calmly waited and did not squeeze forward. This is all a good testimony of his decency. I also noticed that his costume was well cleaned, his hands and face were neat. Are you saying that all these are not approving letters? the merchant asked a friend. “I trust more what I notice in a person when I get acquainted with him within ten minutes than what is written in sweet, approving letters!”
“See, children,” said the grandmother, “in the grandfather they saw right away by his pious behavior that he was reliable, tidy and
diligent person. Will you also bring much joy to Jesus?
“Yes, yes, we want,” the children shouted enthusiastically.
- Later, the grandfather became a valet at a well-known prince, performing the service in good faith and joyfully.
Let us pray and ask the Lord to give us a pure heart, fill it with His unearthly love, so that we can live a pious life.
