A friend of mine recently expressed the point of view that the capitalist society overconsumes and produces lots of waste, while it could feed the starving world. What follows is the reply to this argument, while NOT necessarily my personal point of view.
What good is to possess a lot?
You either waste it, see it rot,
Or share (but after you consume
The better part). If we assume
That neither option looks as fair,
To never have to waste or share,
Friends, limit things that you possess!
And everyone will live with less.

Just as a joke:
It would be fine to stand a chance
Of getting lots of bucks at once,
For sure it would be quite fair
To bear with showing off somewhere,
To share none with anyone,
To snare luck that can’t be gone,
To dare to smear all you despise,
To care not for being wise.
