A Rose at the dinner table
Swirls of velvet kiss you back.
Have you ever licked the petals?
Fear, clanging guns, the metal
speeches, witches painted lethal.
Losses known before attacks.
Crimson maiden, drinking water,
thorns and eyes, a wine aroma.
From the bud, becoming woman,
nodding, brooding like a human:
Chocolates? War-clad air is impure.
In a book, dry in a coma.
will you be my valentine?
