1957

Innocent like an angel,
A newcomer and a kinda stranger
Who is learning to breathe
the air found beneath
at the globe beautiful and stunning,
under the shining skies
The place so wonderful that you never
can believe your eyes

The day I fell out of heaven
If you like, you can call it birth
In the fall of 1957,
I found myself on planet Earth
Was it fate or clerical error?
Oh man, so who knows

The Windscale leak moves higher
It’s a great balls of fire
while bossa nova is cool
on the beaches of Zona Sul
where happy people are dancing 'til they drop
and having fun around
As I showed up, the party never stopped
down in Rio town

The day I left maternal heaven
Like a squab that’s fallen out of the nest
In October 1957
They perform an atmospheric test
Was it fatal or clerical error?
I would never guess

The Space Race of superpowers
Sputnik orbits for hours
except the Little Rock Nine
all the rest is pretty fine
the mother's milk is sweet and divine
like the Milky Way,
And my old man built a brand new house
to move in right away

Heartbeats drum like a crazy shaman
The brain is in the astral travel too
Having born in 1957,
Am I obsessed with number 22?
Is my all life path a clerical error?
Oh man, I wish I knew

The Wild strawberries movie,
“All Shook Up” is so groovie
Everett's multiverse,
Opens up parallel worlds
Am I sure I wanted to be here,
in this time and place?
There are some other spots in the vastness
of infinite space

Did I want to leave the quiet haven?
Was I warned that all these may come true?
Yet in the fall of 1957
the world survived and I went through.
Lucky fortune or clerical error?
maybe then I knew
