one way or another
The phrase "one way or another" means somehow, in some fashion. It is often used to express uncertainty or ambiguity, as in "One way or another I'm sure we'll meet again". It can also be used to express determination or confidence, as in "He wasn't sure how to go about building a wall, but he was sure he would manage in one way or the other".
