Please learn from them - the oak and the birch.
Harsh days have come, with winter everywhere:
Their cries have frozen, not to re-emerge,
Their bark had cracked and shrugged, and no one cares.
So tough the blizzard, ripping without mercy
Last leaves with anger, coldness felt inside.
The trees stand still, and, as the weather worsens,
Of all this frost you, too, keep calm in spite!
Have faith in spring that rushes. Please be patient
Again with warmth and life its genius breathes,
For brighter days, for newer revelations,
Your soul shall heal from grim days and dark grief.
