In Parterre
Strips of rain touch skies and ground;
Shudder of the crying grass
Jingles just like scattered strass.
Rain is over. Shrunken shroud
Covers, covers all around –
Frightened trees in distant gleam,
Sudden flush of joy and dream…
Only me, in my parterre,
Never knew nor joy, nor fear:
I observe from my Pleiad
Both – act and shunless end…
