Could You? and its Sequel

[Intro]

[Instrumental Interlude]

[chorus]
а-а-а-а-а-а-а
а-а-а-а
а-а-а-а-а-а
а-а-а

[Verse 1]
I immediately smeared the card of the day,
when I splashed the paint from the glass;
I showed on a plate with a jelly entree
the sloping cheekbones of the ocean mass.

On the scales of a tin-plate fish
I read the calls of new lips.
And you
the Nocturne
could play fresh,
on the nice flute of drain pipes, Yes?

[Instrumental Interlude]

[Verse 2]
If you are in a hurry for me without limit,
despising the ban on us from society,
I will squeeze the paint from the granite;
I will use the paint to draw your portrait.

We will connect the pyramids together,
we will build many the new bridges.
I will take you to the temple of Isis,
where I will lay down the best canvases.

We will swim in a sea of paints,
in a red wine fountain and river;
We will drop out masks to paint –
we will be together forever!

[break]

[Verse 3]
But the day has already missed the dawn,
and the night is flowing outside the window,
and the wind howls and frantically spins up,
the flows of leaves behind the glass window.

Empty canvas, nocturne is not played.
The paint has all been poured out.
Granite paint has not been obtained.
The moon is hiding behind the clouds.

[Instrumental Interlude]

[Verse 4]
The empty glass and a cigar hill,
the wine Madeira and the jelly dish,
breadcrumbs and the tin-plate fish –
they look with sarcasm sad and ill.

I have been chosen by you quickly.
You did not come – my queen is busy.
The script of day is played brickly.
Fate has not decided - it is easy!

[break]

[Verse 5]
I plunge into a vanity dream slowly,
with the outline of your tender soft lips,
where you
will play the Nocturne
perfectly,
on the nice flute of drain pipes – Yes!

[chorus]
а-а-а-а-а-а-а
а-а-а-а
а-а-а-а-а-а
а-а-а

[Instrumental Interlude]

[Outro]
