Сидела на ветке коала,
Она эвкалипт объедала,
Досыта наевшись, коала
На этой же ветке поспала,
И сытой приснились коале
Какие-то светлые дали,
Цветы, словно лес – это рай,
Поющий цветной попугай,
Ещё и подруга – ехидна…
Коалы, другой, жаль, не видно.
 
Припев:
Во сне размечталась коала:
Над морем и лесом летала,
Коалы в мечтах и во сне,
Летают в волшебной стране!

Но сон страшный шум прерывает:
Вокруг целый хор попугаев,
Их вид очень радует глаз,
Но крик разбудил бы и нас:
Вздохнула печально коала,
Другой эвкалипт отыскала,
И снова на ветке другой
Вкушает листву и покой.

Припев.
Во сне размечталась коала:
Над морем и лесом летала,
Коалы в мечтах и во сне,
Летают в волшебной стране!

Во сне одинокой коале
Мечты и подругу послали:
Есть радостью с кем поделиться,
А двое коал – коалиция!

A koala was dreaming, high on a tree,
Lost in sweet visions, so carefree.
She met an echidna just days ago,
Gathering flowers where wild winds blow.
Parrots were swirling in colorful flight,
Her heart felt so light, her spirit so bright.
She wished to join them, their lively spree,
And fly far away to the forest so free.

Dreams take her far, where her heart wants to be,
With parrots and flowers, high over the sea.
A life without worries, so calm, so serene,
The sweetest of dreams, a magical scene.

But then she awoke to a startling sound,
A chorus of parrots all gathered around.
Their chatter and squawking disrupted her rest,
Their noisy commotion put patience to test.
She sighed and she knew she'd have to find
A branch where peace and dreams aligned.
Without a fuss, she let them be,
And solved the problem so quietly.
