Conformists

Conditioned to be stupid, dull, inept,
the multitudes by media are groomed.
How easily they're willing to accept
the rulers' lies, thus, becoming doomed.

Infused with fear, they'd wear masks,
they'd keep the distance, getting all vaccines,
and if a sceptic simple questions asks,
such person would be ripped to smithereens.

Conforming to the most crazy trends,
not willing to believe of being tricked,
they would cut off their relatives and friends,
if someone dares them to contradict.

When evidence is clear as a day,
they would resist their errors to admit.
All reasoning is swiftly brushed away,
they'll treat you as a social misfit.

Defending the authorities, despite
the blatant facts that they have been duped,
conformists cannot welcome truth and light,
their spirits bent, perturbed, afraid, stooped.

They'd rather live with rulers in accord,
not thinking what awaits for them ahead.
Not seeking truth, they follow the herd,
when even for the slaughter it is led.
