Перевод моих стихов поэтом Gordon Sullivan

Некоторые мои стихи переводит на английский язык  Гордон Салливан
Вот и на этот раз стихи "Новый год стучится на порог"
красиво звучат в английской версии
New Year's comes to cheer us up once more!

On windows laced with morning frost the snowbirds rush to tap,
And chirp to sleepy boys and girls, that New Year's coming back!
Toy Shoppe doors are swinging wide—come quickly through the snow,
Gifts are waiting anxiously, dressed up in ribbons and bows!
The most beloved and very best-est,
Joyful-est and beautiful-est,
New Year's Day is knocking at the door!
Make your wishes here and now, then
Watch your dreams come true somehow, when
New Year's comes to cheer us up once more!
We'll decorate our tall green tree and dance a roundelay,
As Grandpa Frost slips through the snow and sings songs in his sleigh!
In a whirling swirl of cottony snow, whole streets will disappear,
And laughter ring with a crystal ping on a glorious New Year!
The most beloved and very best-est,
Joyful-est and beautiful-est,
New Year's Day is knocking at the door!
Make your wishes here and now, then
Watch your dreams come true somehow, when
New Year's comes to cheer us up once more!
'Twixt furry paws of a lovely spruce we'll hang our holiday lights,
While fireworks shoot their grand salute into the starry heights.
Happiness and joy and warmth, all seated 'round the blaze,
Will share the cheer of a brand new year through the magic holidays.
The most beloved and very best-est,
Joyful-est and beautiful-est,
New Year's Day is knocking at the door!
Make your wishes here and now, then
Watch your dreams come true somehow, when
New Year's comes to cheer us up once more!
