Российские отдыхающие, которые плавали неподалеку от места происшествия, рассказали журналистам, что хищник атаковал семью — отца и сына. По их словам, сначала нападению подвергся ребенок, он не выжил.

Мужчина попытался спасти сына и лишился ноги. Его госпитализировали в тяжелом состоянии.

Инцидент произошел на курорте Марса-Алам за пределами зоны купания. В Генконсульстве РФ в Хургаде заявили, что россиян среди пострадавших в Египте нет.
