Our stage in the evolution of our understanding of

We seem to be at such an early stage in the evolution of our ever-changing and still forging understanding of the Universe that claims concerning the existence of an all-explaining God sound premature and rather na;ve. Now, I do believe that there could be an ultimate explanation to everything, yet we clearly haven't arrived there yet.

This raises another important issue - if there would be an all-governing reality that would want us to know about and believe in it, it should have made its existence more evident before we have figured that out ourselves, especially if belief in that reality is required for soteriological reasons, as in Christianity.

Therefore, at this point we not only can't posit the existence of God as the ultimate explanation to everything, but we have a reason to doubt its existence altogether, at least in certain theistic frameworks.
