Kitty Cat
As shadows creep into the room.
A kitten sleeps upon the sill,
Curled up snugly, lost in dreams' soft plume.
In slumber's hold, a scene unfolds:
The water sparkles, mirroring the moon,
Our Kitty Cat dives with courage bold,
Eagerly chasing fish beneath the tune.
Flick-flack, flick-flack, the fish' tail does sway,
Glistening scales beneath the waves.
The cat purrs to itself, “Fear not the play,
For I’m the bravest one; it's fortune that saves!”
When dawn spills colours across the sky,
Gently cradling it's sweet repose,
Kitty Cat opens the bright eyes,
And purrs with joy as a dreaming flows.
Recalling the golden fish so bright,
And the ocean's gentle, rolling sway.
But soon it's owner, with a kiss of light,
Warms it's small heart, and softly will say:
“What tales did you weave in dreams tonight,
My dear companion, what stories spun?
What visions of a cat's life, so delight,
Of playful adventures, and battles won?”
The kitten stretches, playful in grace,
With a charming squint, it meets his gaze,
And purrs a tune, a soft melody's trace,
A secret shared in the morning’s haze.
For dreams of the kitten -
A gateway to the sophisticated world so fine,
Where it brings back to the family,
Fortune's energy and love divine.
