plying the seas
but we're all drawn to that blue expanse
and so as a fruit of both speech and deed
a new ship is ready for its maiden trip
it's got masts, shrouds and even a flag-
but the ship's stuck in harbor, something's holding it back
noting quite rightly that this is quite strange
the crew had decided on leadership change
what's said is done, the past has been spilled
now there's new captain steering the wheel
he is young and handsome, and not a hack--
but the ship's stuck in harbor, something's holding it back
noting quite rightly that this is quite odd
the captain decided that this is crew's fault
the new broom sweeps clean, he does all it takes
one thousand sailors get their last pay
now the new crew is raising the flag:
yet the ship's stuck at harbor, something still holds it back
noting quite rightly that something's still off
they thought ship's design was made with no love
a painter was tasked with the mission, and he
made that ship the brightest you'll ever see
he strived and he tried, he slept right on the deck
but the ship's still in harbor, something's holding it back
plying the seas ain't same as roaming the lands
they got down to brainstorming again
but there wasn't a whole lot to really brainstorm:
the sail's what that ship's masts never had worn
and without the sail, to travel the world
you need a miracle, or a tugboat
