A knight came to the castle
A knight came to the castle
upon a stallion gusty.
Here looked the hostess out the window
and said: "My husband is not indoors.
And no one but the children
And our maid with linen."
The rider from his saddle
Then asketh th' honest lady:
"But are the children good enough?
Ah, dear mistress, tell me now!."
The woman said: "Too naughty ones,
they neither follow me at once."
The rider said: "Then must I leave,
of children such, we have no need."
And rode upon his gusty
back from the forlorn castle.
