I was so stunned by paintings of Monet,
With influence of music of Massenet's -
They both sound similar, so pleasant,
So unforced, clear, easy going, airy.
You can't put pressure on the soul with tanks -
It will want to fly out and to love,
And see there only flowers, not destruction,
And the French are the masters here - in lightness!
Their plots are the most delicate, and tones,
Transitions are so subtle and so warm,
That it immediately lets the viewer relax,
Flowers, water, and light air of paradise.
There is no wear and tear in his portraits,
And faces - in tune with background - bloom,
And it's a revelation how they prosper,
That here and there may be so beautiful.
