Do people need wise thoughts - aphorisms?
This is the question the author of these lines asked himself
10 years ago, the same autumn time.
I typed it in a computer search engine: "World Day of Aphorisms".
I did not receive an answer to the presence of this day from the omniscient machine.
I decided to correct such an injustice,
after all, aphorisms have arisen among people since the appearance
of their first writing and literature.
He initiated the holding, so far unofficial,
World Aphorisms Day (WDA).

On November 11, 2015, the first celebration
of the world wise thoughts of mankind took place,
which originated in the city of Velikiye Luki, in Russia.

From 2016 to 2023, the VDA was held annually on November 11:
the celebration centers were in various cities of Russia,
participants read aphorisms of classics of the genre - writers, poets,
their favorite and author's recently composed aphorisms,
artistic and competitive actions were held,
dedicated to aphorisms and aphorisms.
Writers in other countries also learned about the VDA:
Romania, France, Serbia...
