Temporary Stars
Fleeting sparks in a world so vast, our hearts were drifters.
Each laugh a comet, each glance a bright flare,
But like falling stars, we faded into thin air.
Oh, temporary stars, you lit up my night,
In the universe of moments, you were pure light.
Gratitude blooms, but shadows still sway,
Over love that we touched, then slipped away.
Your smile, a constellation that glimmered and sighed,
A nebula of dreams where our secrets could hide.
But time is a thief, with its hands wrapped so tight,
And we’re just echoes in the canvas of night.
We chased the horizon, where wishes take flight,
Yet the longing for depth is a bittersweet plight.
In the silence that lingers, I feel you so near,
A requiem fading, but still crystal clear.
Oh, temporary stars, you lit up my night,
In the universe of moments, you were pure light.
Gratitude blooms, but shadows still sway,
Over love that we touched, then slipped away.
So I’ll gather the stardust, keep it in my heart,
A treasure of moments that we shared, though apart.
Though time may divide us, our echoes will stay,
In the tapestry woven from a brief, bright array.
