Not a poet, who is not willing
Prophet’s words to memorize,
Who cannot with acid feeling
Show, expose, denounce a vice.
Not a poet, who’s scared himself out
To touch strong ones to the quick.
Of the victory who’s proud,
As for weak ones, he can kick.
Not a poet, who has a varied
Love for people in his heart.
For the truth who can’t be daring
Against the foes to shed blood.
Poet’s he, who ruins foes. His mother’s —
Only the truth, sharp and keen,
Who loves people as the brothers,
Who can suffer for his kin.
He’ll do everything just freely,
That the others couldn't do.
He is a poet, lively feeling
His folk and his own land too!
