To Julia 2 Sonnet 116 I think

For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love. CARL SAGAN

Throughout my life the Cosmos was
upon my head, in endless dark,
some billions light years across,
where all life's mysteries would lurk.

But right in front of me discovered
lies a whole newfound Universe,
in its own mysteries unrivaled,
with trillions of stars of hers.

Will you then let my little probe
pass through the bounds of the Unknown,
to tremble at the endless scope
and gaze at all the lights you own?

Is mine the only pair of eyes
that Cosmos in you realize?

former 3rd quatrain:

Will you then let my little probe
pass through the bounds of the Unknown,
to gaze with awe at th' endless scope
and th' endless blinking lights you own?
