Formed Bosnian attachment
For Osterreich’s sake –
What I’ve thought at first.
Yet Francis Joseph – skilfully,
Astutely and conclusively –
Has proved in his decree,
That a benign Austria
Had Bosnia be captured...
But for her own sake.
The household words!
That she would not be crying
Because of this development,
A constitution’s tailored
For her from old pants,
The pants that are all patchy,
Besmirched and marred with handling,
The pants, completely outworn
And thrown off but recently
In Austrian domain.
