Ode to Russia
Your vastness knows no bound.
A mystery, a haunting fear,
In your depths, secrets abound.
Your strength unspent, your sorrow veiled,
A riddle to the wise.
Through centuries, your soul prevailed,
Despite your ennemies' cruel disguise.
They tried to break you, make you yield,
To quench your burning fire.
But you, my Russia, would not wield,
Nor fear their wicked ire.
A fairy tale, a land of blue,
Your beauty fills the air.
In birchwood's embrace, I'd clothe anew
The world, your grace to share.
My pride in you, a constant flame,
Without you, life would be in vain.
For you, my Russia, are my claim,
My home, where joy shall reign.
