Memories of a Lost Love
A lightning bolt in every heart beat's blaze.
With your departure, I can't hide,
Yearning lingers, the past by my side.
In gardens where we once did roam,
Hand in hand, our hearts found home.
Now golden leaves, a somber sight,
Recall the memories lost in night.
Familiar paths, now overgrown,
With grass and moss, my heart alone.
It aches with loneliness, a mournful plea,
Pining for the past, a bittersweet decree.
Traces of the past have faded away,
Lost in time's misty and elusive sway.
Memories remain, like fragile threads,
Preserving fragments of those bygone heads.
My soul, now desolate, a barren land,
Where birds no longer soar, their songs banned.
No joy in flight, no dreams to chase,
A heart that's lost its hope and grace.
Time, they say, will heal the pain,
And sorrow's grip will slowly wane.
In paths untrodden, yet to be,
I'll find a new way, setting my spirit free.
