Hey John,
I would take it one step further, the President should instruct DOJ to not enforce SCOTUS rulings from the early 2000’s to present until a through forensic examination of the justices is completed and setup a special counsel of retired judges to evaluate SCOTUS ruling during this period. This would include memberships, affiliations, emails, texts and social media accounts and tax evasion.
They would be given the opportunity to resign without retirement benefits and be disbarred or face prison if convicted!
As President I have decided to abolish the electoral college as it has proven to attract voting misdeeds and allowed for   Minority vote rule! I will call it “ The clean elections act of 24”
As always stay safe and healthy!

I wish THIS guy would run for president.  In less than 30 mins., he sums up perfectly the facts and truths about this issue.  Soft spoken, concise, erudite, and to the point!  Kudos Mr. Flannery.  Let's kick ass.

This has me sick every second since it dropped yesterday. I am stunned into disbelief that this court has done this. I am afraid for all of us. Thank you John

If I were president, I would order the immediate investigation of the federalist Society and the Supreme Court justices who have clearly taken money over the years

President should also direct his AG to investigate Thomas and Alito for bribery, Kavanaugh for sexual assault and McConnel for abuse of power.

Hi John, Watching this now. I live in the UK. I won't be visiting the USA for the foreseeable future. I admire your country greatly but this is wrong. I hope November brings about a positive result for America, if it doesn't the world will become even more dangerous than it is already.

Thanks for your commentary, I always enjoy your videos.

All the best,

Richard.

The most problematic aspect of this ruling ISN'T that the COUNTRY gets to decide in November. It's that select STATES get to decide in November (thanks to the electoral college). Bannon et al have gamed the system to focus on the battleground states; both in the effort to overturn the 2020 election, as well as where to focus their efforts for November. Trump continues to LOSE in the popular vote, but wins (allegedly) by polling and hypothetical electoral counts.  I am desperately trying to remain hopeful.

God I hope Biden and his people are listening to your advice .
It was great to hear your thoughts.
I’m Australian, I fear the repercussions of a possible Trump era will damage world relations and peace.

Thank you for your analysis John. Biden needs to run his campaign on supreme court reform. The damage being done is immense and given the public's low opinion on the court this might unify many more behind him. Watching from Australia wishing you all the best in this fight.

I had a conversation this Saturday past about supporting Biden as long as he is breathing.  I think you are correct in stating Biden should be bold and correctly order the judges to get to work.  Himming Hawing and pissing around thinking about this is what makes 24/7 news media go around.  Lets give them something to talk about.   John thank you for your talks, they  are  gratefully recieved.

Thank you, Mr. Flannery.  It's a scary time to be alive, though certainly not as scary as the founders lived with every day.

Thank you for suggesting actionable responses: directing Judge Chutkan to go to trial and directing Garland to remove Judge Cannon. If President Biden does not use this newly given immunity to turn the tables … I’d like to have some back up plan for winning.

thank you for this, Mr. Flannery!  I read the comments below, and I can hear the agony that tortures we-the-people regarding the state of our democracy.  I'm scared.

good evening this is John flaty and I
0:03
normally do a Walkin talk but uh this
0:06
evening I'm going to do a sit and talk
0:08
and one of the reasons is because I
0:10
think the issue is both complex enough
0:13
and historical enough that I'm going to
0:15
need some notes because I think it's
0:17
important that I get right specifically
0:19
what words have been said I'm talking
0:22
about the historic decision of the
0:24
United States Supreme Court today given
0:26
to a man a single man absolute power in
0:30
a nation that since its founding was
0:33
defined by its democracy and that is
0:36
that we were all equal before the law
0:39
but the Supreme Court today has said
0:41
forget that that's not who we are that's
0:44
not what we are this supreme court has
0:47
proved itself elusive of justice and
0:50
fairness and fair play and a decent
0:54
textual reading and historic
0:57
understanding of the laws and not one
1:00
but several cases the most important of
1:03
which is the decision today involving
1:06
the immunity of a former president and
1:10
the immunity of a
1:12
president I'd like to start with the
1:14
remarks that I listen to as many of you
1:17
may have of the president of the United
1:20
States reacting to the decision today
1:23
the statement was about five minutes it
1:25
was at the White House as far as I know
1:27
he took no questions afterwards
1:30
I will give you my summary some of it is
1:33
verbatim of what he said other of it is
1:36
what I caught I haven't replayed the
1:39
video and you may hear it
1:42
yourself the the president of the United
1:45
started with the following statements
1:47
there are virtually no limits on what a
1:50
president may do after the decision
1:53
today not even constrained by the
1:57
Supreme Court's decisions
2:00
the court has already recently gutted
2:04
voting rights and the right of a woman
2:06
to choose and to have dominion over her
2:08
own
2:10
body we have a former president who when
2:15
President sent a violent mob to the
2:18
capital and watched it on TV doing
2:22
nothing we were all aware of the Gallows
2:25
that were put
2:26
up purportedly
2:29
to be used against the vice president
2:32
who would not do what Trump wanted him
2:35
to do because it wasn't the law and it
2:37
wasn't
2:38
constitutional Gallows were
2:42
erected it was one of the darkest days
2:45
in our
2:46
history we deserve to have an answer
2:50
before the election in our courts of law
2:54
charging various crimes against Trump
2:58
but it remains quite risky whether or
3:00
not that will
3:01
happen because of the Supreme Court it
3:05
is highly
3:07
unlikely America will have
3:09
to render judgment itself and Biden
3:13
recommended that judgment be that Trump
3:16
was unfit for public
3:18
office that he favors
3:21
violence and that this decision Will
3:23
embolden trump not constrain him our
3:27
first president believed power was
3:29
limited
3:30
and belonged to the people that's what
3:32
George Washington believed and he
3:34
adhered to it to the surprise of many
3:36
including those who supported him but he
3:38
remembered what the Kings of England
3:41
what George III had meant to America and
3:43
to those who came here fleeing that kind
3:46
of government to establish their
3:48
own the law will no longer do it that is
3:52
to make us all equal before the
3:57
warw Biden said he agreed with just
4:00
sodar she wrote a dissenting opinion she
4:02
was one of three judges who
4:04
dissented she said by this decision we
4:09
have a king Above the Law I descent
4:13
that's what she said now that's
