both sunlight and moonlight

You're like a calm harbor, serene and still,
then a ship tossed by tempests, against its will,

sometimes you're a dreamer, both freed and tied,
or the jaded cynic, with skepticism wide.

Preaching with passion, yet indulging in sin.
How you balance it all, I can't help but grin.

You're a blistering desert, burning so bright,
or the coolest spring on a starry night.

You're the wind in the meadows, whispering low,
both sunlight and moonlight in beautiful show…

And considering all that I've said above,
you're my greatest, sinful, consuming love.
