WE OPEN on an angrily shouting man's lower half of the face.
INT. IN COLOR AND SOUND
A frozen cutlet fried in hot oil with a somewhat painful hiss and in vibrant colors.
INT. B&W. MUTE
The upper half of an angrily shouting woman's face.
INT. IN COLOR AND SOUND
A fish's fin is harshly cut off.
INT. THE PSYCHOLOGIST'S CABINET
The cabinet is dark; the frame is wholly occupied by the teenager's sad face. S/he is POORLY LIT. The psychologist slowly speaks in a rich, deep voice and yet remains unseen.
PSYCHOLOGIST:
What do you mean when you say (pause) that your parents verbally devastate you? Is it just the vocabulary they use that is abusive; or the message they want to convey? Please take your time.
INT. THE PSYCHOLOGIST’S CABINET
Now the frame is occupied by the psychologist. He is WELL-LIT. He begins to read from a paper:
PSYCHOLOGIST
You have mentioned that you constantly feel threatened at home. Please describe, what exactly does your body experience when you feel that?
INT. A SEQUENCE OF PHOTOS IN B&W
Physical manifestations of hypervigilance in B&W photos: bitten nails, nervous scratches, frightened eyes, etc.
INT. THE PSYCHOLOGIST’S CABINET
The teenagers faces are in frame while the psychologist speaks. The last face is MINE.

Is there place for love in your relationships with your parents?
