Кто-то под дождём

раскроются бутоны под дождём…
как  рябь  растёт, сливаясь под дождём,
на глади, с очертаниями лужи.
под проливным, бессмысленным дождём
скорбящих разговор теперь не нужен,
и шествие безмолвней под дождём…
но светится улыбкой деспотичной
лицо в толпе под ласковым дождём,
зачем  ты здесь, прохожий ироничный,
ты тишина, нависшая дождём,
ты  боль и скорбь притихшая, живая?
Пытаясь  закурить …огню с дождём
я проиграю. встречу отчуждая,
уйду, расслышав имя под дождём

Someone In The Rain - A Ghazal

A spring flower opens its petals in the rain,
As one falls down to cause a ripple; in the rain.

I see all mourners marching as they experience pain,
Marching ever so softly here in the pounding rain,

When I see one smiling, I ask “What you’ve to gain?”
Silent they stay, here in the soft and gentle rain.

I ask again, followed by a “What’s your name?”
Again silent they stay, here in the now pounding rain.

“Are you without warmth” I say, “smiling at someone’s pain?”
Only silence, as they try to light a cigarette here in the pounding rain.

As they fail I shrug at them and begin to walk away.
Suddenly I hear a sound, here in the pounding rain.
