I was sorting out my kitchen table.
Pots, pans and ladles.
And so I found a spoon that
I hadn't used for a long time.
The spoon is blackened.
The spoon is made of silver.
A friend gave
it to me a long time ago.
And now I have
no idea what or how he does it.
But I will polish the metal
to a silvery sheen.
The silver will shine.
At least let me clear
my conscience to myself.
The silver spoon turned black.
There is a belief
among our people
that if the spoon that
a friend gave
you turned black,
it means that trouble
has happened to him.
Let all the bad things go away,
let the angels take care of you.
