Sports media icon Bob Costas didn't hold back in criticizing former U.S. President and presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in a recent media appearance.
In an interview on CNN, Costas unloaded on the 45th president, calling him "the most disgraceful figure in modern presidential history." He then listed off a score of things that he feels about Trump and all of his supporters, comparing Trump's support to people being in a "toxic cult."

"He is by far the most the most disgraceful figure in modern presidential history. He's only become more disgraceful since 2016 and since 2020. He is a bubbling cauldron of loathsome traits and it's only those who are actually suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, which is the way they and Fox News and MAGA media try to brush aside all legitimate criticisms of Trump," Costas said.
"You have to be in the throes of some sort of toxic delusion and in a toxic cult to believe that Donald Trump has ever been, in any sense, emotionally, psychologically, intellectually, fit to be President of the United States. But his supporters are locked in on that. There is no cult of Joe Biden..."
Costas then lamented that President Joe Biden didn't do more to strengthen the Democratic Party against the resurgence of Trump during his presidency and expressed concern that he'll be even more powerless whether he wins or loses.

Despite numerous recent defeats in civil court and ongoing criminal investigations into the former president, Trump is the prohibitive favorite to win the Republican nomination for President later this year and polls are trending towards another close race against Biden less than nine months from now.

He's right about that but we should understand that Trump is really nothing more than a mirror reflection of a large segment of American people.  That's the real issue here.  They are the real cancer here.

I voted early for Trump for the California primary. This is the fifth time I voted for Trump, including the primaries and general elections since 2016. I have no regrets, I know who I am voting for, and I feel great about it.
