I smashed the window
in a burst of rage,
with so much
pain,
anger,
and bitterness
inside me.

had no clue
where to let it all out.

and now, all around me,
shattered glass,
remnants of the old world,
fragments of my life,
pieces of meanings.

I'll never truly feel
like myself here,
I adapt seamlessly,
mimic…

assimilation
in action.

I'm enough
for everything,
enough for everyone,
but what's left for me?

I look at the hands
of the watches,
these damn
overrated watches
priced at 45 big ones..

and what do they do?
surprise, surprise -
they show
the same time,
as those plastic
hello kitty watches
for a first grader.
