For every thing on earth a running notion
is, or is not,
a stoppable eviction,
as of unbirth, the wicked benediction.
And so as we, whatever 'we' may stand for,
choose to proceed, or to withdraw,
uncast the lot they give us,
the past will live us, for the before.
