Titmice-flowers

One morning, titmice rapped upon my pane,
Seeking refuge from snowstorm's ruthless reign.
Braving the cold and the dark they dared not stall
To find a friend to heed their desperate call.

The yellow titmice like dandelions in flight
Bringing hope amidst that wintry blight.
I scattered yellow sunflower seeds  with glee
Watching them feed as the sun broke free.

As its warmth and light chased the storm's dark bands,
The world bloomed, bright and grand.
The snow and frost yielded to spring's soft powers
And the tree 'neath my sill bloomed with yellow titmice-flowers.
