Destined
Upon the earth, under the sun.
Not for the new, the lost one, rather,
That called through many centuries' span.
I yearn no more for the salvation
That would've quelled this pain inside
I pray instead for the purgation
Of pain that burns me, flaring bright
You are so far. I fear guessing
How many months or years will pass,
Until the dawn of-that-blEssed-day,
When fate will let us cross our paths
I will approach you, smiling, happy,
And gently clasp your hands in mine,
Against my cheeks, I’ll press them lightly,
To feel the warmth my dreams enshrined.
I'll hug you, stifling thirst for air,
With body shaking, faltering voice,
I'll say, 'I hoped so much, afraid to dare.
Despaired.
Destined.
Thus,
no choice
