I age and grow older
Time slips away, getting colder.
Days and weeks blend into one,
A trickery that can't be undone.
Something new hinders my stride,
Breaking through each day, I hide.
The world carries on, unaware,
A shadow lost in its daily affair.
The day manages without a care,
I'm just a speck in its routine, I swear.
I understand though it feels in vain,
I'm still among people, yet not the same.
Retreating to hills and groves,
Where fallen leaves on snow behoves.
Being alone with nature's embrace,
Easier than navigating the human race.
We all emerge from nature's womb,
And return to her eternal tomb.
Though my years may be counted true,
Nature's wisdom keeps me anew.
