Living in the woods

With you, we vowed so much,

We speak. Life remains as such,

Nature's act, beauty untold,

And dreams within each of us hold.

We venture out, into the woods,

Living, wandering as we should.

We sleep till the morning light,

And bid farewell to the night.

Submissive spring will soon arrive,

Melting snow, coming alive,

Crossing shores with ease and grace,

Muddy waves in their embrace.

Untouched forests, unwashed and wild,

Cling to the white heavens, beguiled,

Forming snow and dirt as one,

A connection pure, never undone.

Spring, you dirty little thing,

Our firewood starts vanishing,

Cleanse the cold with your embrace,

Let the world be a little less chaste,

Let the world be a little more warm,

Let the world show a kinder form.

Here, the first willow will bloom,

No bees yet, to make honey's fume.

Birch pollen will fill the air,

Allergies and bronchitis to bear.

Mother Nature, along the road,

Extends the cycle that spring bestowed.

We drink birch sap from its core,

Let it flow, a drink to adore.

The pain of spring will soon subside,

Everything else will bloom with pride.

We'll rediscover life's grand design,

Once again, our eyes will align,

The sky will turn blue, so divine,

And brightness will once more shine.

Awakening soul, awakened mind,

These verses were born to find,

The purpose of life, clear and bright,

Regardless, the main thing is to ignite!
