October 2 variants

Sharp spires of the suburban churches
Tear apart the yellowness of October.
The sun bathes in the blue expanse
The wind pierces through the silence.
Smoke from chimneys flies everywhere
Sweet to taste, like hot mulled wine.
Time to take out the dishes from the buffet
And pour the red drink into them.
Cut almonds mixed with raisins,
Light candles at the entrance for guests.
I want to have a drink, to contemplate life,
While looking into the fireplace at the remains of coal.

Sharp spires of churches grace,
October's yellow torn in haste.
The sun bathes in cerulean space,
As winds pierce silence with gentle trace.

Smoke from chimneys dances free,
Sweet mulled wine, a taste to please.
From buffet, dishes come alive,
Red drink poured, a vibrant dive.

Almonds and raisins, a delightful blend,
Candles lit, a warm welcome extend.
Time to ponder, sip and think,
By the fire's glow, life's remnants link.
