Leaving my house, I leave you the light,
Let it be warmed by love and faith!
Far or near I will be from you,
Light keeps our hearts better than strong cuirasses.
Wolf fears will be dispelled in an anxious night
Lanterns, semaphores and candle flames.
With a joyful song I go everywhere in my life,
As I whisper prayers: "I'll be back," "I'm waiting for you."
The day has run its way, the night turns on the lights,
It gives people a constant light.
Leaving my house, I leave you the light,
Let it be warmed by love and faith!
