Be persevering, never surrender,
Breathe into poetry beauty and grandeur,
Rapture of being, universal delight;
Throw your lines into boundless flight!
Make them vibrate with the music of spheres,
Telling to soul, sweet to the ears;
Let them reflect the celestial light -
Spread their wings to poetical heights!
Delicate rhythm, be certain, essential;
Rich undertones shall make it substantial.
Crowns this all a divine inspiration …
That is the way to a deathless creation.
