We may know a lot,
But still may discover a plot.
To be sure of roots of the grass,
Nothing saves us - but us!
We may learn every day,
But still may be in dismay.
If we seek for troubles to pass,
Nothing saves us - but us!
We may prepare our best,
But still may have no rest.
When we want to show class,
Nothing saves us - but us!
We may think no block,
But still may work against the clock.
Thus, whatever one does,
Nothing saves us - but us!
We may need a pause,
But still may not find a clause.
Even if we look for a buzz,
Nothing saves us - but us!
