Kissing her

I hope it's gonna be the last time
your secret shows and then it leaves,
but you still sneak inside my room
with all your myths.

I burned your poems and your letters.
Maybe you hoped I saved them like you did.
You tried to mend my stumbling heart,
but it still bleeds.

I guess you never never seek, never hide,
and if you loved me - you should have taken my side.
You should have tried to get the best out of the mess
I made.

Cause we were legends, don't you know it?
You found the cruelest way to ruin our house - you sold it,
and if your dreams were misery -
you'd still be with me.

And in my room - there's still your ghost
in all our fading pictures and your withered roses,
as I'm pacing back and forth,
while you're there kissing her.

I saw you dancing with your new gal.
Your black tie and her ginger hair.
It took you one month to forget us,
it's so unfair.

We never cared about the future, baby.
The last thing both of us could do.
I hope she'll take your small request, and say "Yes" to you.

I know you never tried, never tried
to get away with all you low-down lies.

But we were neon in the monochrome.
You said I split the melancholy twilight of your home,
but when I close my eyes -
I see your hand on her thigh.

But in the end we all need grace.
Did you ever think you made mistake?
But it's too late to excuse.
I'm no longer yours.

I never take a single chance just to call you,
cause all my friends they were rightz
you're not worth the fight.

See your reflection in the mirror -
the way you tried to see the forest for the trees.
Hope her white dress and your rings
bring you long hoped for peace.

But we were glowing in the dark side of the night,
till you got brave enough to stop the running time,
and when I drowned my ships -
you were kissing her lips.
