In Jewish tradition, the idea of God keeping his promises to the Jewish people is an important theme. Throughout the Hebrew scriptures, God is depicted as making covenants with the Jewish people and promising to protect and bless them. The restoration of the Jews to the land of Israel, after centuries of exile, is seen by many as a fulfillment of these promises.
In modern times, the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948 is often seen as a powerful symbol of God's faithfulness to the Jewish people. After the horrors of the Holocaust and centuries of persecution and exile, the re-establishment of a Jewish homeland in the land of Israel is seen as a miraculous and unprecedented event.
