Once upon years back, I forgot

By Victor Tretyakov

Once upon…years back, I forgot
That we so resembled each other,
You and I, no doubt, were gods –
It escaped me this truth, simple rather.

I forgot we conceived it, this world,
We created the views all aroooound,
That together we thought up this spherical fold,
Now in wonder we wander the ground

Refrain:
Guitar in hand, my souul – I send up to soooar
Int; the countries distant – of life after liiiiving,
(I) don’t believe in God, I… know him, it’s sooooo,
Heee invented all of my thoughts to the sliver,
My unthinkable thoughts gold and silver…

I forgot: no Judgment to be –
It’s impossible by definiiition,
That the road before us is free:
So tough, but forever delicious.

But I reaped my reward, so bright:
I remembered I came from the heaaavens;
We direct, and we act, and we prompt and we write,
And we’re viewers, of course, I reeeeckon.

Refrain:
Guitar in hand, my souul – I send up to soooar
Int; the countries distant – of life after liiiiving,
(I) don’t believe in God, I… know him, it’s sooooo,
Heee invented all of my thoughts to the sliver,
My unthinkable thoughts gold and silver…

Refrain (but changes slightly):
Guitar in hand, my souul – I send up to soooar
Int; the countries distant – of life after liiiiving,
(I) don’t believe in God, I… know so:
Heee invented all of our  thoughts to the sliver,
My unthinkable thoughts gold and silver…

Once upon in the past I was god…
