Your eyes are blue, like living water;
They laugh, and kiss, and charm, and heal.
Your eyes are blue, and full of wonder,
They breathe of calm, and cool, and heat.
Your eyes are sparks of raging fire,
Igniting passions of the soul,
They find the innermost desires;
They laugh, ignite, inspire, console.
Your eyes are air to my daring
And youthful chambers of the heart;
I drink their freshness and their care.
Those eyes of blue and healing arts….
Your eyes are Earth I rest and stand on,
The ground to dream, and reach, and be.
They ARE. A treasure and an end-all,
Unearthly lights and charming beams.
It seems the elements are gathered
In bluish gateways to your soul.
Our eyes – will they withstand the weather
And keep alive this fragile song?
