The Crinaeae. 3

In Greek mythology, Myrtoessa (Ancient Greek: ;;;;;;;;;;) was an Arcadian nymph, specifically a Crinaeae, who together with other nymphs, Neda, Anthracia, Hagno and Anchirhoe, were nurses of the god Zeus. She was depicted to carry water-pots with what is meant to be water coming down from her.[1][2] - from an encyclopedia.

Myrtoessa

Her walk
Is as mild as the river waves,
And she brings freshness.
She cares for a newborn Zeus
And she wipes tears from his face.
Her movements
Are as light as a feather,
She is a woman of mystery,
A gracious and enormously
Charming lady.
