As as strong and endless
As the Yamuna river,
And in these waters
The art is born.
Your beauty is bright
Like a hibiscus flower,
Depicted by a devoted artist.
Your voice is as charming
As all the religious anthems in the world,
And its purity is as spotless as the quality of Indian diamonds.
You take the form
Of the Apsaras,
And this dance of yours
Creates new constellations and stellar systems.
Your greatness
Is as harmonious and universal
As the seven notes.
