They'd run around free while the earth was being born

Now God seen some sinning and it gave Him pain
And He says "Stand back, I'm going to make it rain."
He says "Hey brother Noah, I'll tell you what to do
Build me a floating zoo. And take some of them...

Old Noah was there to answer the call
He finished up making the ark just as the rain started fallin.
He marched in the animals two by two
And he called out as they went through, "Hey Lord, I got your..."

I just can't see no Unicorn."
Then Noah looked out through the driving rain
Them Unicorns were hiding, playing silly games.
Kicking and splashing while the rain was pouring
Oh them silly Unicorns.

Noah cried "Close the door, cause the rain is pouring
And we just can't wait for no Unicorn."
The ark started movin, it drifted with the tide.
Them Unicorns looked up from the rocks and they cried
And the waters came down and sort of floated them away
And that's why you'll never seen a Unicorn... to this very day.

На юной Земле тому назад много дней 
Было полно невиданных  зверей. 
Гуляли свободно они кто как мог,
И самым милым был единорог. 

Злой крокодил, длинношеий гусь,
Горбатый верблюд, чей вид наводит грусть, 
Крысы, кошки, слон и даже носорог
И самым милым был единорог.

Но люди грешили, был Бог разозлён,
Всемирный потоп тогда задумал он.
"Эй, братец Ной, святой человек, построй поскорей ковчег!"

С тобой поедут:
Злой крокодил, длинношеий гусь,
Горбатый верблюд, чей вид наводит грусть, 
Кошек, крыс, слонов возьмёшь с собою в путь. 
Смотри, единорога не забудь!

Ной услыхал и всё исполнил в срок.
Как создал он ковчег - полил с небес поток.
Всех тварей по паре построил Ной зверей,
Повел их в ковчег скорей.

Эй, господь, здесь:
Злой крокодил, длинношеий гусь,
Горбатый верблюд, чей вид наводит грусть, 
Крысы, кошки, слон и даже носорог
А где же этот твой единорог?

Ной вглядывался в дождь, единорога искал.
А тот всё забавлялся - в прятки с ним играл.
В лужах плескался, рыл копытом песок
Милый глупенький единорог. 

Его ждали:
Злой крокодил, длинношеий гусь,
Горбатый верблюд, чей вид наводит грусть. 
"- Вода прибывает, буду дверь запирать,
Я больше не могу единорога ждать!"

Прилив подхватил ковчег и вдаль умчал.
Единорог, бедняга, на скале рыдал.
Большая вода кругом всё залила
Потому и нет единорогов - такие дела!

Зато есть:
Злой крокодил, длинношеий гусь,
Горбатый верблюд, чей вид наводит грусть, 
Крысы, кошки, слон во всей своей красе, 
И лишь единорога нет нигде.
