A dream
I knew, you've dreamt about me,
I couldn’t sleep because of it.
A muddy lantern was shining blue
And pointing the way to me.
You saw the Garden of Tsarina,
The daedal palace of white shades,
And the black tracery of fence
Near the stone hollow porches.
You was going, not knowing the exact route,
And thought: ‘Hurry up! To her!
Oh, if only I could find her there
And meet with her before awake!’
A guard, who stood next to red gates,
Called out you: ‘Where are you going?’
Ice crunch was ringing out, breaking,
Black water spread under your feet.
‘There is a lake!’ – You almost shouted. –
‘There is an island on the lake!’
And, suddenly, from gloom and darkness
The small blue twinkle looked at you.
When you awaked, you groaned with suffer
In the tough light of skimpy day.
But, for the first time, you aloud
Could call me by my own name.
