My heart melts

My heart melts
To the sounds of jazz music
While you and I
Enter a shining gallery
Full of thrillingly attractive works.

As a masterpiece,
You place yourself in the centre of this glorious location,
Filling the room
With the air of a tired and perplexed mind.

As a masterpiece,
You shine,
And only my look
Is used to this trembling heat around you.

You make the air
Flamboyant and stirring,
My soul
Chaotic and passionate,
Turn a regular white-tie event
Into a lively and a bit disturbing discussion
And then grab me by the hand and leave.

Too little time is left
To meticulously follow
The procedures of mundane communication

You share the keys to
the city with me,
having already seized the keys to my heart.
