The cigar is dying down
The sun is fading now like a distant goal,
Outside the eyes all birds have gone astray,
And drowning down is that extinguished ray.
The rigor of the youth has left me numb,
The days have fallen down and been so dumb,
Outside the walls my falls have turned to red,
Like lifeless algae spread on ocean’s bed.
The puny star ahead will show no way,
The tiny step of mine will find no stay,
Inside the furrow on my hand there is no sign,
And gone are hopes directing to devine.
